PuroPDF is fundamentally different from traditional cloud-based PDF web converters. Our commitment to your privacy is not just a written promise-it is engineered directly into the foundational code of our application using a strict zero-upload architecture.
1. 100% Client-Side Processing (Zero File Uploads or Storage)
We do not collect, view, transmit, or store any of your selected files, PDFs, or images. All file transformations-including:
are executed entirely "client-side". This means all file parsing occurs locally inside your web browser's sandboxed RAM memory using WebAssembly and modern JavaScript.
Your files are never uploaded to our web servers, external databases, or third-party cloud infrastructure. Your documents remain securely on your physical device at all times and are instantly cleared from browser memory as soon as you close or refresh the page.
2. Passwords, Signatures & Personal Data
When using tools such as Protect PDF or Sign PDF:
- Passwords: Any password you set to lock your PDF is processed locally via browser cryptographic APIs. Passwords are never sent across the network, never logged, and never stored.
- Signatures: Any signature you draw, type, or upload is rendered in an HTML5 canvas and baked into the PDF document in your browser. We never store copies of your signature on our servers.
3. Third-Party Analytics & Advertising Cookies
While we never see or store your files, we utilize standard third-party tools to maintain website availability, measure aggregated traffic, and keep the service free:
